Love the City

Love the City is a city-wide outreach where we gather families from across all our Mobilize Love sites to one location to celebrate key moments of the year—Back-to-School (Summer) and Christmas (Winter). It’s a day of celebration, free resources, and community. We mobilize churches and partners to serve together, meet practical needs, and show love to San Francisco—shoulder to shoulder with the families we serve.

Summer Program

We’re teaming up with 100% College Prep to run a summer program focused on SEL and literacy. Each week, 60-80 students will dive into an interactive SEL program, a fun reading session, and a delicious meal from our Food Truck.

Volunteer Details:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00 - 3:00 PM

  • June 16, 2026 - July 16, 2026

Mobilize Love KIDS

Mobilize Love’s flagship program, Mobilize Love KIDS, is a mobile after-school experience designed to nourish the whole child:

  • Food for the body in fresh, hot meals from our Food Truck

  • Food for the mind via a fun, gamified reading experience at the Stories Truck

  • Food for the soul through songs, games, and lessons on the Stage Truck

This high-energy program helps children grow in emotional resilience and reading confidence—so they can live full, flourishing lives.

Fall Semester begins September 2026.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Our volunteer waiver is part of the online registration process. Yes - you will need to agree to the waiver as part of your volunteer experience.

  • Yes! Whether you are coming with your company, church, family, or friends, we would love to have your group join us in serving. For assistance making a group reservations, contact: info@mobilizelove.org Each person will have to sign a waiver and is required to sign up using their own information not just the leader of the group’s information.

  • No - due to limited space, you must reserve your spot on our online calendar. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-in volunteers at this time.

  • Most volunteer opportunities are available for ages 14 and up. We also have opportunities for families with children 8 years or older. For volunteers under 18, we do require a parent or guardian be present.

VOLUNTEER WAIVER

By signing up to volunteer with Mobilize Love (the Organization), I hereby voluntarily agree to the following terms (summarized).

I release Mobilize Love for any liability, or responsibility of the following as a result from my participation at the Organization's worksite:

  • Any injury, illness, death, or property damage

  • Any claim for compensation of medical expenses

  • Any medical services needed

  • Any hazardous activities

I agree to any photo, video or audio recordings during my work with Mobilize Love.

  • I desire to work as a volunteer for Mobilize Love (the Organization) and engage in the activities related to being a volunteer for a work project. I hereby voluntarily, execute this Volunteer Waiver under the following terms:

    I, the Volunteer, release and hold harmless the Organization and its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my volunteer work with the Organization

    I understand that this Waiver discharges the Organization from any liability or claim that I, the Volunteer, may have against the Organization with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from my participation on the Organization’s work site. I also fully understand that the Organization does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance, in the event of injury, illness, death or property damage.

    I, the Volunteer, understand that I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of the Organization beyond what may be offered freely by the representative of the Organization in the event of such injury or medical expense. I hereby release the Organization from any claim whatsoever which arises or may arise in the future on account of any first aid treatment or other medical services that are conducted in connection with an emergency during my time with the Organization.

    I understand that my time with the Organization may include various activities that may be hazardous to me and I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm in these activities and release the Organization from all liability for injury, illness, death, or property damage resulting from the activities of my time with the Organization.

    I grant unto the Organization all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings that are made by the Organization during my work with the Organization, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits that are derived from such photographs or recordings.

    I expressly agree that this Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the volunteer is volunteering in the United States of America, and that this Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state in which the volunteer is volunteering. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this Waiver shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to enforceable.
