2018 Mid-Year Update
Thank you for all of your support and prayers for Mobilize Love.
Here are five updates that will show how your giving has mobilized love in a tangible way!
1) Easter outreach
On March 24th, Mobilize Love partnered with Sunset Church to host an Easter Outreach for families in the Sunset District of San Francisco. With over 60 volunteers, we were pleasantly surprised by the weather (it was heavily raining leading up to the HOUR of our outreach) and by the turnout - close to 500 people attended! It was an amazing day to bless the children and families. We were also grateful to have our new mayor, London Breed, show up to support and share her heart with us. Great day!
2) Laundry truck - BEING BUILT
GREAT NEWS! The Laundry Truck is being built, as we speak! We are so excited to be able to launch this part of our work - THANK YOU for all of your support in making this happen!
3) STAGE TRUCK - DONOR PENDING
The stage truck is the fundamental truck that is needed to be a physical presence in the five neighborhoods we're deployed in. There is a group of men who are praying about building out this truck - we are finalizing the schematics and pricing this month.
4) Bayview Outreach coordinator
We are excited to announce our new Bayview Outreach Coordinator. Vanessa Brakey (taller woman) is an experienced educator and devout pastor's wife in the Bayview District. Her passion is to see children in the Bayview thrive and flourish. She now handles the outreach efforts for this vitally important neighborhood.
5) Mobile kitchen - biggest need
Food is not only one of the most basic human needs, it is a language in the inner-city. If we can provide meals, we can speak a language that everyone understands. This is why, our current biggest need is to build out our mobile kitchen. Please pray that we can build this truck out by November 2018.
